My book, Fried Green Tomatoes

The name of my book is Fried Green Tomatoes at The Whistle Stop Cafe.   It is written by Fannie Flagg.
The book is a favorite of mine, it takes place in the depresssion era.  It is about a girl named Idgie Theorgoode, her best friend Ruth, and some of her close family members and friends..  She was some what of a tom boy.   She had a lot of crazy adventures.   I like the fact that she had a mind of her own and no one was going to change her.   Some of her crazy adventures takes me back to when I was a little kid and how I grew up on a farm.  I some what acted like a tomboy  my self and did not like to wear dresses either.  I'd rather wear my jeans or shorts and run around barefoot, like she does in the book.  The story is told by this old lady that is living in a nursing home.   She starts talking to this lady named Evelyn that comes to visit her mother-n-law there.  She starts to tell her about her childhood and about this crazy girl that she grew up with as a child.  She tells her about the crazy things that Idgie did as a child all the way up to her adulthood.   I also like this book because I did see it and it is one of my favorite movies of all time to watch.   I would like to think that if I ever end up in a nuring home one of these days I hope I can talk and tell someone of all my crazy adventures as a child that I had and make them laugh and maybe teach them something from them.   I just lost my grandparents recently this past year.  They were all three in a nuring home.  My Grandma was there for about 10 years.  I wish she could have told her life stories to someone there.  Unfortuneately, she was not able to.  She had alziemers and dementia.
